Winnett Perico seeks an experienced Vice President of Field Growing to oversee 34,000 acres of field grown organic produce. Organic experience in a large scale operation is essential. At least 15 to 20 years of total experience required. Supervises farm General Managers and has overall responsibility for all field operations. Strong drive, initiative and great teamwork skills required.
The position will eventually have overall responsibility for field operations on 120,000 acres of organic fresh produce and processing products in nine states across the United States. The position currently reports to the CEO and will report to a Senior Vice President of Operations as the company grows larger. Other comparable positions in the Operations group include the VPs of Food Safety, Logistics, and Controlled Environment Growing.
As the company grows, this position is key to the execution of company strategy as the focal point of our expertise is our growing operation. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, change oriented environment which focuses on science-based organic farming, soil health, and the development of people and their talents from neophytes to experts. We do not expect you to be the expert in all aspects of operations but to be able to develop the talent that gives us collective expertise in all aspects of organic farming in the various environments we operate in across climates, geographies, and soil types.
