Facilities Manager, Job Description

  1. Responsible for overall company operations.
  2. Assist in the enforcement of all facility related standard operating procedure and process.
  3. Ensure daily operations are maintained as scheduled.
  4. Collects and reviews mandatory department reports.
  5. Provide departmental coverage, support, leadership, and professionalism at all times.
  6. Participate in the hiring process of new facility employees.
  7. Performs other projects, administrative and operations duties as required. Manage employees to make sure warehouse is left in good condition after shift and that all product is stored properly and areas are maintained clean.
  8. Overseas proper facility maintenance and safekeeping.
  9. Ensure inventory protocols are being followed.
  10. Responsible to maintain facility in full compliance with all Federal, State and local regulatory safety, labor, worker’s comp and health requirements.
  11. Participation in overall development of Division's Profit Planning
  12. Responsible for controlling labor cost.
  13. Responsible for minimizing loss of product.
  14. Responsible for establishing staffing schedules.
  15. Selection, training development, motivation, review and control of all employees to assure continuity of efficient operations.
  16. Requires a flexible work schedule

Education and Experience:

  1. Must have minimum of 5 years warehouse/facility management experience.
  2. Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel.
  3. Must have a background in the produce/manufacturing industry. 
  4. Prefer bilingual in English/Spanish.
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively, i.e. staff meetings, employee reviews, reporting, etc.
  6. Degree preferred but not required in lieu of experience.
  7. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Abilities and Skills:

  1. Ability to manage the pressure associated with deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner
  2. Ability to solve practical and analytical problems.
