C & B Farms Inc. is seeking an experienced candidate for an Account Manager

We are currently looking for a qualified Account Manager to join our Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a can-do attitude and a result-oriented mindset. In this role you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing retail grocery industry sales. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented. Ultimately, you should be able to grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.


Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Responsible for sales, retention and growth of assigned customers.
  • Manage customer price quotes and volume allocations, including daily market quotes, short term advance pricing, and contract pricing.
  • Responsible for ensuring assigned customer orders are entered, confirmed and shipped as ordered.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Hold customers accountable to price, volume and date range commitments
  • Position the company, for profitable growth; address customer and distribution channels; improve existing client base; analyze target customers, pricing, margins, and product lines by customer
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management
  • New customer development through cold calling and marketing trips where appropriate
  • Procure transportation needs to deliver the crop most effectively
  • Track daily inventory levels, product quality, and best channels for distribution to maximize our returns
  • Prepare and present proposals for potential new busines


  • Must be onsite a minimum of 5 days a week
  • Three to five years in produce sales and or agriculture industries
  • Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Superior organization, planning, multitasking and prioritizing skill
  • Proficient use of QuickBooks, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Account level selling experience in the grocery channel including retail customers and wholesalers/distributors
  • In-depth produce industry knowledge and experience
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
