Job description

PlantTape is an industry leading agricultural company working primarily with the fresh vegetable industry on a global scale to provide real world solutions through the automation of transplanting.  Following years of development and a commercial launch in 2017 we are now looking for motivated individuals to help meet the growing global demand for PlantTape.  You will be joining a small but ever growing team of fast paced, motivated individuals in North America and Europe focused on providing customer service and on-site technical support for our revolutionary transplanting equipment.

We are looking for a well-qualified equipment and service manager to provide customers with superior service and product knowledge enabling them to seamlessly implement the PlantTape transplanting system within their current operations.  The right candidate is driven by customer service and has a vast knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics in the agricultural field.  This job is extremely hands on and requires the person filling the position to have a complete understanding of the PlantTape equipment and operations, which will be provided upon hiring.   

Managing New Orders

  • Insure new orders are built to customers specifications and delivered on time
  • Work with suppliers to manage build and delivery schedule
  • On site delivery support to provide start up assistance
  • Manage equipment data base for internal reference

Customer Support for Existing Customers

  • Provide customers with 24-7 customer service options
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems via phone or computer
  • Provide on-site support or repairs when needed

Spare Parts

  • Oversee the inventory and shipment of spare parts to existing customers
  • Work with suppliers to keep correct inventory of spare parts
  • Provide detailed monthly reporting of spare parts and manage minimum quantity levels of parts

Must Have

  • 5 years experience in the agricultural equipment field
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to travel both domestically and internationally
