Overview:

The Sales Assistant/Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Sales team and EVP. This is a fast paced Sales environment. Your success will be led by excellent customer service, strong ability to multi-task, communicate, follow-through, and execute tasks to deadlines. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide general information regarding pricing, product quality, supply/demand issues, and delivery schedules in support of the sales team.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional courteous manner.  This includes accurate order support and call distribution to sales team. Good ear A-must to learn customer base.
  • Manage key steps in the ordering process for the Sales Team.
  • Develop strong product knowledge, logistic understanding of product flows, impacts of weather, etc.
  • Assist in contract management with intelligent effective communication to customer base.
  • Daily duties including sending emails, answering phones, generating reports, filing, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of all production operations to assist Production Sales Coordinator in communication with operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred

  • Good working knowledge in PC’s (Windows, Office)
  • Good working knowledge with E-Commerce (I-trade, Retailink, etc.)

Educational or Equivalent Experience Required:

  • Bachelors Degree / Associate Degree
  • Alternatively, 3+ years or more experience in Assistant or Coordinator position and/or entry level Sales-related position preferably in agricultural industry.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a combination of office, field, and production environments
  • Exposure to outdoor elements as well as warehouse elements: such as noise, cold, and moving equipment
