BSS#7354 IT Hardware/Network Technician
Salinas, CA

A full time position available in the Information Services Department in Salinas.  The position involves installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing internal network hardware and systems software.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support to PC users, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting wide area networks and associated telecommunications assemblies, as well as support and administration of Windows Server environments and associated applications.  This position will also assist in network security risk assessment.  Minimum of BS in computer related field of study with three years of work experience as a computer technician or supporting computer networks.  Must have solid troubleshooting skills.  Must have a good working knowledge of WAN deployment.  Must be a self-motivated, independent learner and a team player, adaptable to situation and schedule changes as necessary.  Must be willing to support and if needed travel to remote office locations in Texas and Mexico.  The individual must possess an intimate working knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP) and implementations.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Advanced experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server products required.  Qualifying candidates must possess a valid CA driver’s license.  more
