We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Supervisor who will be responsible for the day to day operations (plan, organize, lead) as well as to supervise the customer service staff for the processed foods division of Calavo.  Will monitor and maintain inventory levels, analyze freight costs, research and resolve storage and logistics issues based upon sales needs, while ensuring all customer service tasks are completed within established standards and provide assistance to meet goals as necessary.  Will manage and maintain customer database information on ship to and bill to addresses; will maintain commission tables, will assist outside processing sales team on projects.

Requirements include a related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides for the requirements of the position, 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment in a customer service or sales position (preferably agricultural), 5+ years experience managing and directing a staff of three or more, demonstrated ability in managerial skills (planning, decision making, developing subordinate staff), excellent PC skills in MS office, solid experience and knowledge of order entry/inventory systems, strong problem solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills (bi lingual is preferred), possess sound and accurate judgment and have the ability to prioritize and plan work activities in a fast paced, changing environment.
