We are currently seeking an Ag Manager for our Monterey, CA corporate office. 

Job Description:

• Manage growing cost templates to achieve goal of low cost producer to meet the company’s P&L objectives.

• Prepare planting schedules to meet company requirements for weekly volumes by commodity.

• Supervision of grower plantings vs. company’s planting schedule.

• Prepare planning records for each planting by grower, ranch, lot, and acreage and seed variety.

• Maintain planting schedules and field maps for the region, provide information on availability of new growers and land leases.

• Provide guidance to growers in order to improve quality and production.

• Supervision of transplanting arrangements between nursery, grower and company.

• Work closely with harvesting on production issues, crop quality, and grower communications.

• Ensure full compliance by growers of all SAFF food safety requirements, including government regulations.

• Provide information on industry changes and promote a positive reputation for the company.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience required/preferred:

• 7-10 years equivalent work experience in agricultural production.

• 4 year college degree – Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts- with a concentration in Agriculture or similar field.
